NIGHTVISION: BLACK LIVES MATTER

During a time of a sweeping movement across the globe, we paused production of NightVision: Beyond The Court and asked the team if they wanted to use the platform to share their own message in their own words. We linked up with Kween, who organized Guelph’s BLM protest, but is also the choreographer for the Flight Crew (Nighthawks’ dance team).

We at Ward 1 Studios were humbled to play technical support for this video and are 100% committed to the movement. To do our part, we are partnering with the Guelph Black Heritage Society and Guelph Museums to offer our services to enhance the visibility of the movement locally.

EPISODE 1 - JAMAL REYNOLDS

For episode one, we set the stage for what NightVision: Beyond The Court is all about. Jamal Reynolds takes us through the very first Nighthawks’ game and late comeback victory.

EPISODE 2 - LEADERSHIP w MYLES CHARVIS

What makes a good leader? Prior to the cancellation of the 2020 regular season, the Nighthawks would have hosted a school day game, so we looked back at Myles’ time as a leadership ambassador in local schools. Also, the voice of the Nighthawks gives his thoughts on a regular game day and what he expects of the 2020 roster.

EPISODE 3 - COACH KISSI

Reflections from Coach Kissi on his background in coaching, the struggles of last season and his plan for the upcoming Summer Series. We also meet the entire coaching staff via Zoom. A special guest from the Raptors 905 shows up.

EPISODE 4 - KIMBAL MACKENZIE
